Red Lobster Bacon Potato Soup Recipe
Red Lobster Bacon Potato Soup is a creamy, hearty, and rich bowl of soul-satisfying soup. Make this copycat soup with bacon, potatoes, onions, garlic, chicken broth, and some spices at home. Refer to the full recipe for the details.
½ pound Yukon Gold Potatoes 1 cup Chicken Broth ½ cup Bacon 1 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese 1 tablespoon Flour ½ cup Half And Half 1 tablespoon Olive Oil ½ cup Onions 1 tablespoon Garlic (Minced) 1 tablespoon Basil 1 tablespoon Parsley (Chopped) 1 teaspoon Black Pepper 1 teaspoon Salt
Take Yukon gold potatoes, chop them into small chunks, and add to the stockpot. Boil the potatoes and set them aside.
Meanwhile, cook the bacon until it is crispy and release the bacon drippings.
Saute onions in the drippings. Cook for 2 minutes and immediately add garlic and flour. Stirring frequently will not let it burn.
Add chicken broth into the stockpot. Cook for 5 minutes until the soup is thickened and reduced to half.
When you see the soup is thickened add potatoes, a cup of half and half, and a splash of hot sauce.
Moving forward, stir in the spices like parsley, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
Bring it to a boil for 5-8 minutes.
Garnish with parmesan cheese and serve warm!
