Take the caramel candies and let them stand in a bowl of alcohol.
Once you've turned the caramel candies into freshly made caramel, transfer it to a sealable glass jar. Cover the carame
l with roughly three to four times the amount of alcohol.
You need to let the mixture stand for about 6 weeks, opening the lid every few days.
After 6 weeks, strain the mixture using a cheesecloth, coffee filter, or strainer. Transfer it into a clean glass jar and voila, you have your homemade caramel extract.
