6.1 ounces Plain Flour 7 ounces Strong Cheddar 9.7 ounces Cornmeal/Polenta 4 strips Smoked Streaky Bacon Spring Onions (Garnish) Jalapenos (Garnish) Coriander (Garnish) 4 Eggs 1.7 ounces Sugar 3 teaspoon Baking Powder 4 ounces Melted Butter 1 packet Butter 22 ounces Buttermilk 1.7 ounce Maple Syrup Salt (to taste) Pepper (to taste)
Take a bowl filled with cornmeal and add plain flour in it.
Add sugar in the dry mix.
Now, add add a pinch of salt in it.
Add baking powder in the dry mix.
Season the dry mix with black pepper.
Pour buttermilk in the bowl.
Pour melted butter milk in the same bowl.
Add one yolk in the bowl.
Add cheddar cheese in the mix.
Garnish it with coriander and spring onion.
Now add jalapenos on the top of the batter.
Transfer the batter in the baking dish.
Now take a pan and let the bacon fry for a while.
Once bacon is cooked, add it in the butter.
Now, pour maple syrup in the butter mix.
Mix butter, bacon and maple syrup altogether.
You cornbread is ready to serve.
