Gordon Ramsay's Mashed Potatoes

Gordon Ramsay's mashed potatoes are really easy to make. Just boil the potatoes and heat the milk with butter and garlic. Add the potatoes along with the milk to a bowl. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and chives and then, mash everything.

  • 4 Russet Potatoes (peeled, cut into chunks)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup 2% Milk
  • Salt and Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon Chives


  • In a pot, add the sliced potatoes and add enough water to cover them, and then some more.
  • Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat. Cook the potatoes for about 16-18 minutes. After that, drain the potatoes and set them aside.
  • Place a pan over medium heat and melt butter in it. Add garlic to it and cook for a minute.
  • Then, add milk to it and stir it for 1-2 minutes. Remove the pan from heat.
  • In a bowl, add the boiled potatoes, milk, chives, sea salt, and pepper
  • Using a hand masher, mash the potatoes and make sure they don’t have any lumps. Your mashed potatoes are ready.
