Prime rib is one of the most tender cuts. The rib is rubbed with galic, olive oil, seasoning, and herbs. It is then marinated for about 2 hours. The marinated beef is roasted in the oven for about 40 minutes.
7 pounds Beef Prime Rib 6 cloves Garlic (chopped) 3 tablespoons Olive Oil 3 ½ teaspoons Sea Salt ½ tablespoon Black Pepper 1 teaspoon Rosemary Leaves (minced) ½ teaspoon Thyme Leaves (minced)
Preheat the oven at 500˚F. In a small bowl, add black pepper, salt, rosemary, thyme leaves, olive oil, and garlic. Pat the roast dry with a paper towel from top to bottom. Season the rib with the garlic mixture. Let the prime rib rest for at least 2 hours. Places the rib on the roasting pan with the bone side up. Bake it at 450˚F for 30 minutes. Then, lower the temperature to 320˚F and bake it for 10-12 minutes more. Take it out when the internal temperature of the rib reads 120˚F. When it is done roasting, let it rest for 30 minutes. Then, transfer it to a cutting board. Carve the rib into slices and serve.
