Sushi Rice Recipe
Making sushi rice at home may sound a little difficult. But with this recipe of sushi rice, you can make it easily at your home.
- 2 cups Short-Grained Japanese Rice
- 2 cups Water
- 4 tbsp vineger
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp kosher Salt
In a large bowl, add the rice. Wash the rice 3-4 times a few times until the starch of the rice is removed. Then, drain the rice completely.
Soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes. Then, drain it in a sieve.
Mix it to make the vinegar seasoning for the rice.
In a pot or rice cooker, add the rice along with 2 cups of water. Cook until the water dries for about 20 minutes.
Transfer the rice to a moistened glass bowl. Pour over the vinegar seasoning and mix it using a spatula.
Finally, the sushi rice is are ready to use.
