I still remember when I was a kid, I used to take 5 pennies from my father daily to buy orange candy. Today, I will share the recipe for orange candy with you all.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Navel Oranges
  • 3 cups Granulated Sugar
  • ½ tbsp Salt
  • 1 ½ Water

Instructions
 

  • Take navel oranges, sliced oranges in quarters and peel their skin.
  • Add water according to a large pot and cover it with the plate or the cap for about 30 minutes.
  • Drain the water after 30 minutes and repeat the process twice.
  • Add sugar and a few cups of water with salt in a saucepan and boil it for 2 minutes, till the sugar dissolved.
  • Add the syrup made in a large pot to the saucepan and boil the mixture for 60 minutes.
  • Spread the mixture on the lined baking sheet to cool for around 60 minutes.
  • After the orange peel cools, cut it into strips and sprinkle sugar. Leave the coating mixture for 12 hours until it will dry in the unsealed corner.
