I still remember when I was a kid, I used to take 5 pennies from my father daily to buy orange candy. Today, I will share the recipe for orange candy with you all.

4 Navel Oranges 3 cups Granulated Sugar ½ tbsp Salt 1 ½ Water
Take navel oranges, sliced oranges in quarters and peel their skin.
Add water according to a large pot and cover it with the plate or the cap for about 30 minutes.
Drain the water after 30 minutes and repeat the process twice.
Add sugar and a few cups of water with salt in a saucepan and boil it for 2 minutes, till the sugar dissolved.
Add the syrup made in a large pot to the saucepan and boil the mixture for 60 minutes.
Spread the mixture on the lined baking sheet to cool for around 60 minutes.
After the orange peel cools, cut it into strips and sprinkle sugar. Leave the coating mixture for 12 hours until it will dry in the unsealed corner.
