Scottish Oatcakes Recipe
Forget shop-bought and make your own Scottish oatcakes. They are similar to a flatbread or biscuit. Perfect for serving with cheese or your favorite dips, they're easy to make, with a just a few simple ingredients.

125 g Ground Oats 2 tablespoon Goose Fat 1 tablespoon Hot Water ½ teaspoon Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon Salt
Firstly, preheat the oven. Then, mix the baking soda, oatmeal, and salt in a bowl.
Now, add in the melted fat and keep mixing it until a thick paste is formed. Slowly, add in hot water and mix it well.
Make two small balls out of the paste you prepared.
Sprinkle oatmeal on the surface and roll the balls on the surface such that the oatmeal gets stuck to it.
Keep rubbing the balls for a few minutes until the mixture gets dry and stops being sticky. Then, add a little oatmeal.
Now, roll the balls into a ½ cm thick disk and cut off the quarters.
Place the oatcakes on a baking sheet and bake them for 35 minutes, till their color turns golden brown.
Serve them.
