Scottish Porridge Recipe
Scottish porridge is a very nutritious food and serves as a great alternative to cereal for breakfast. It is made of oats which we know are high in dietary fiber. It is sweet and delicious and isn't a fuss to make.
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- 3 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Jam
- 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
In a pan, add milk, oats and salt and place on medium flame.
Boil the oats and keep stirring them until porridge gets thick.
After it is cooked properly, lower the flame and let it cook for 6- 7 more minutes.
Remove the pan from flame and keep it still for 30 seconds and serve it with brown sugar, maple syrup, fresh cream and jam.
