Baked Whole Trout Recipe

Fish is a great food to constitute in your meals. Made with whole trout, lemon zest, lemon jusice ,and other herbs. Try this healthy baked trout at home with a handful of ingredients.

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Oven

Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil (to taste)
  • 2 Whole Rainbow Trout (gutted and cleaned, heads and tails still on)
  • ¼ teaspoon dried Dill Weed
  • ¼ teaspoon dried Thyme
  • Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
  • ½ large Onion (sliced)
  • 2 thin slices Lemon (Optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Hot Water

Instructions
 

  • Grill the fish for 3- 4 minutes. Then slather some fish sauce.
  • Once it is grilled . Place the trout in the baking dish and coat it with the remaining olive oil. Season the fish inside out with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  • Prepare the vinegrette by adding garlic chives, champagne vinegar, lemon zest, fresh parsley ,and salt to your taste.
  • Saute the veggies and mix them in vinaigrette.
  • Squirt the veggie vinaigrette in the first layer.
  • Place the baked trout on the top of the first layer.
  • Then garnish it with parsley and lemon zest.
