Tattie Scones Recipe

No Scottish breakfast is complete without tattie scones. They are often served with sausage and bread. They're sometimes called potato scones. No matter the name, tattie scones are quick and easy to make and a clever way to use up leftover mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Melted Butter
  • 1 pound Waxy Potatoes
  • cup Flour
  • ½ tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400 F. Peel the potatoes and cut in large chunks to allow for a nice and even cook. 
  • Mash the potatoes in a bowl and toss in all the ingredients to form up a dough.
  • Now, dust the surface with flour with dry flour and roll the dough.
  • Then, cut the dough into saucer-sized round shapes and place it on the baking sheet.
  • Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake it for almost 14-15 minutes until it gets a little brown.
  • At last, serve it with butter.
