Amish Sugar Cookies Recipe

Amish sugar cookies are soft, puffy, and easily melt-in-your-mouth. This sugar cookie recipe could not be easier and they're made with common pantry ingredients! These sugar cookies are a lot like cut-out cookies, but much less work! Top them with your favorite icing or glaze for an extra special cookie!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 ½ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Confectioners' Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degree F.
  • In a large bowl, mix butter, oil, and sugar until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and tartar cream using a stand mixer.
  • Add this mixture to the butter mixture. Also, add eggs and vanilla to it. Mix all together until it has a creamy texture.
  • Take spoonful of this mixture and put them on a baking sheet. Bake them for about 8 to 10 minutes until the cookies turn light brown.
  • Take them out and let them cool for a while. The Amish sugar cookies are ready!
