Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Corn Syrup
  • A few drops Food Coloring
  • oz. Flavoring Oil
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Keep that baking sheet aside and move to the next step.
  • Place a saucepan on the gas stove and add sugar, water, and corn syrup. Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar melts and starts to boil.
  • Once it boils, you can turn the heat up. Gently stir the mixture.
  • After this, make sure you measure the temperature of the boiling sugar mixture constantly.
  • Cook the mixture until it reaches 280º Fahrenheit.
  • When it reaches the desired temperature, add the different food colors to the mixture.
  • Make sure you add a few drops of edible colors at a time until it gets the desired color you want.
  • Cook till it reaches 290º Fahrenheit.
  • Do not rush through the process. Make sure the mixture hits 290º.
  • Once it reaches the desired temperature, remove the sugar mixture from the heat and mix in the flavored oil.
  • Immediately pour the prepared sugar mixture into the pan you prepared initially.
  • Let the mixture cool down entirely for about 30 minutes.
  • Use a meat mallet to break the sugar candy into pieces.
  • Put all the candy pieces into a ziplock bag and add the powdered sugar.
  • Shake the bag well so that all the candy pieces are properly coated with the powdered sugar.
