Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Keep that baking sheet aside and move to the next step.
Place a saucepan on the gas stove and add sugar, water, and corn syrup. Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar melts and starts to boil.
Once it boils, you can turn the heat up. Gently stir the mixture.
After this, make sure you measure the temperature of the boiling sugar mixture constantly.
Cook the mixture until it reaches 280º Fahrenheit.
When it reaches the desired temperature, add the different food colors to the mixture.
Make sure you add a few drops of edible colors at a time until it gets the desired color you want.
Cook till it reaches 290º Fahrenheit.
Do not rush through the process. Make sure the mixture hits 290º.
Once it reaches the desired temperature, remove the sugar mixture from the heat and mix in the flavored oil.
Immediately pour the prepared sugar mixture into the pan you prepared initially.
Let the mixture cool down entirely for about 30 minutes.
Use a meat mallet to break the sugar candy into pieces.
Put all the candy pieces into a ziplock bag and add the powdered sugar.
Shake the bag well so that all the candy pieces are properly coated with the powdered sugar.
