Every year, like clockwork, Starbucks introduces new and improved cold cups and Starbucks for their limited-edition Pride merchandise and this year is not different.
This year, the brand has collaborated with Tim Singleton, an artist and illustrator based in Toronto. Tim has designed three cups for the brand; five 24-ounce plastic cold cups, three16-ounce cups and one 16-ounce stainless steel tumbler.
The cups include a glittery based and a shiny metallic cup with the beautiful rainbow theme. The cups also have motifs and illustrations that have a great meaning to the LGBTQ+ community.
The Starbucks pride cup collection is a part of the Starbucks Artist Collaboration Program series. This initiative is meant to celebrate and elevate artists from around the world.
About his designs, Tim Singleton said, “A lot of the work that I do focuses on queerness and how that has inspired me – both as a queer person and a gay man and how I relate to the world with that.”
Singleton combines bold visuals and the famous Pride rainbow-bright colors to create beautiful and meaningful designs.
He also said, “It really is a story of self-expression and the unrelenting freedom to express yourself how you want, and that there isn’t really one right way to do it.”
Here is a list of the cups that have come out this year.
1. Glitter Cold Cup
The first on the list is glitter cold cup and it is absolutely gorgeous. The cup design is trippy and colorful. The pink glittery base has a lot of colorful patterns, shimmer, flowers, lips, lashes, and a prominent peace sign that that frames a heart.
About the design, Singleton said, “The peace sign is iconic and easy to interpret almost immediately. And at the end of the day, we all want just a little bit of peace.”
The cup has a 24 ounces capacity and is priced at $19.95. You can find it at Starbucks stores and in Target.
2. Gradient Grid Cold Cup
How can we skip the classic grid cups. This year, the grid cups come start from orange, transitioning into magenta, and eventually covering the rest of the cup in cyan blue.
“A beautiful metaphor for queerness is juxtaposing colors,” Singleton said. “Putting a color beside another color you wouldn’t think go together – and then it goes together beautifully.”
The grid design provides a geometrical look and the colors make it pop. The cup is plastic but has a metallic shine. It is also a 24 ounce cup with a price of $22.95.
3. Stainless Steel Tumbler
This stainless steel tumbler is my personal favorite. I love how it is “pride meets barbiecore.” It also has a trippy aesthetic with swirling rainbows, sunsets, and eyelashes. The ‘fan in the hand’ takes the center stage of the design.
About the significance of the fan, Singleton said, “I just love the connection of the fan to the queer scene – you see them at drag shows and at Pride events. When you hear that loud clap of the fan [by a group] in unison it speaks to a sense of joy and freedom and that sense of community you have when everyone is doing that in sync. It’s one of those beautiful, harmonious moments.”

4. Fan Dichroic Plastic Cold Cup Drink Thru Lid
This holographic drink thru lid cup is amazing. It has a holographic base and the trippy rainbow, suns, and stars. This cup also has a large ‘fan in the hand sign’.

5. Textured Rainbow Plastic Tumbler
This textured rainbow tumbler is perfect for you if love a swirly rainbow design. The design in itself is similar but the overall look is quirky yet classy. This tumbler is also a 16-ounce capacity one and is priced at $16.95.
6. Holographic Cold Cup
This holographic mug is last on the last with a lot of small sticker like designs. You’ll find swirly and trippy colorful designs. You’ll find the peace sign, sunsets, and pride shoes. The tumbler has a capacity of 24-ounces and has a cost of $19.95.

While there is little to no information about the new cups, what we can do is have a look at the fan-favorite Starbucks Pride cups over the years and wonder will they make a return or not. Here we go!
1. The Studded Ombre Rainbow Cup
The studded Ombre rainbow cup is a stunner. It has a studded base with a spikey and shiny Ombre rainbow coating. It was the “It” thing in tumblers last pride month. Fans loved how stylish the cup was, but not everyone got their hands on this gorgeous tumbler. If this cup makes a return this season, I’m sure it will be sold out in no time.
2. The Love Cup
The Love cup was introduced a few years back. The design was minimal yet attractive. The cup was designed with all the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag in a stripy cup that spelled “Love.” We all know that Pride signifies love, and this cup just hit the home run. Hence, it is included in the fan-favorites list, and we wish it makes a return this year.
3. Stainless Steel Metallic Rainbow Cups
If you love things with a metallic shine, I’m sure you miss these metallic rainbow Pride cups from Starbucks. They had everything; the classy metallic sheen and the funk and pop factor of the rainbow. Everything was brought together nicely with the famous Starbucks logo.
4. The Rainbow Dome Kaleidoscopic Cup
If you are the one to make a bold statement, then the rainbow dome kaleidoscopic cup is for you. It is pretty and has a kaleidoscopic rainbow-y look that is just amazing. The statement cup was much loved by members and allies of the community. So, it is natural that the fans want it to be included.
5. Pride Rainbow Iridescent Pride Cup
Who doesn’t love colorful and pretty iridescent cups? I know I do. The rainbow embellished cup looks like a kaleidoscopic fusion of the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag. The trippy-looking cup also has a pretty rainbow logo, and it is sure to make your cup and tumbler collection prettier. Our fingers are crossed for this one as well.
