This latte perfectly balances sweet, earthy, and creamy flavors. Moreover, you can adjust the sugar level according to your taste. Intrigued by the idea, I decided to try it myself at home, which was absolutely worth it. I promise that you’ll definitely like this one.

Apart from its taste, I love that this latte has less caffeine than coffee and requires just four basic ingredients. Plus, you can use milk of your own choice, so it can be customized according to your dietary preferences.

So, friends, awaken your DIY enthusiast and try making this latte at home. It’s the best one on the list of green lattes. This drink is so smooth and luxurious that you will fall in love with it.

Equipment Required

  • Measuring Spoon: A measuring spoon is essential for measuring the amount of matcha powder in the latte.
  • Matcha Whisk: I recommend using a matcha whisk to make the Masha with water before adding it to the milk. But if you don’t have one, you can use a spoon.
  • Tall Glass And A Straw: I usually prefer a tall glass with a straw to display my drink’s gorgeous green colour.

Expert Tips That I Recommend

  • I always use chilled milk to keep my latte refreshing. This helps to balance the match earthy taste and also helps the milk to blend better.
  • Before adding the matcha to the milk, I whisk it with a small amount of warm water to help it dissolve fully and enrich the flavor.
  • Sometimes, I experiment with different types of milk flavors. I use oat milk to bring out more creaminess and sweetness, and almond milk adds some nutty flavor.
  • For extra flavor and presentation, I also sprinkled some powdered matcha on top to add a boost of green color and enhance the flavor with every sip.

Recipe Variations For Different Diets

  • Vegan: To make a vegan version, I simply substitute cow milk or regular milk with a plant-based milk like almond, soy, or coconut.
  • Keto-friendly: To make a keto-friendly version, I use unsweetened almond or coconut milk instead of regular cow milk and a sugar-free vanilla syrup made from stevia or monk fruit sweetener instead of regular vanilla syrup. This way, I can make a keto-friendly iced matcha latte without any extra carbs.

Storing This Recipe

  • Refrigerator: To store this latte in a refrigerator, I pour it into an airtight container, such as a glass jar with tight-fitting lids or BPA-free plastic containers. Then, I put the container or glass jar in the refrigerator, where it can be stored for up to 2 to 3 days.
  • Freezer: I pour the latte into an ice cube tray or a freezer-safe container to freeze it. Then, I transfer this freezer-safe container or ice cube tray into the freezer, where it is stored for up to 2 months. It is advisable to consume the latte within this time frame for the best quality and flavor.

What To Serve With This Recipe

I personally like to enjoy this latte alongside my favorite Cheese Sandwich and French Toast, which makes for a balanced breakfast. For a cozy evening snack, I pair it with Buttermilk Biscuits or Flaky Croissants, as it tastes delicious.

Their buttery texture pairs so well with the vibrant flavor of the drink. I also like to have it with Cinnamon Muffins. The fresh notes of the matcha beautifully complement these sides.
