Spiced Cider Recipe

There are minimal recipes in the world that go hand in hand while keeping a beautiful balance between flavor and benefits. The recipe I am going to share today is something like this only.

Spiced Cider Horizontal

This folk remedy, Spiced Cider, has been quietly living in our home’s kitchen for generations. My great-grandmother taught me this recipe during my final exams in high school.

It is still a big hit among all my friends in the hostel even today. Every winter evening concludes with a big cheer over this exclusive warm drink, easy to make and fantastic to taste.

The Spice Cider is also known as ‘fire cider’. It is called so because of numerous health benefits related to immune support, digestion, and circulation. Its recipe is easy to remember and difficult to forget.

Equipment Required

  • Large Saucepan Or A Pot: It is used to heat cider and spices efficiently.
  • Ladle: Or a Spoon. It is used to stir and serve.
  • Mug: Use heat-safe cups so that you can enjoy the drink while it’s warm without burning your hands.

How To Make Spiced Cider Recipe At Home

Expert Tips That I Recommend

  • Always use a high-quality apple juice or cider for the most decadent flavor in the drink.
  • Avoid using the white pith of the orange peel. It makes the drink bitter. Stick to the outer orange layer for a bright citrus note.
  • If you like the spice flavor, you can simmer a little longer. Avoid boiling too hard as it may affect the subtle taste of cider.
  • If you prefer slightly sweeter cider, you can optionally stir in a little honey or maple syrup.
