Good news for the people of Alaska! Sonic is finally coming to your state! Sonic just made its location debut in Anchorage, Alaska, and we cannot, for the life of us, contain the excitement!
For over 60 years now, Sonic has been a name that the people of Alaska love. Dining at the drive-in restaurants of Sonic is a whole different experience, and now, the people of Anchorage will be able to experience it as well.
Sonic’s signature menus with classic American dishes is something that you cannot miss out on. They even serve half-priced drinks from 2 in the afternoon till 4 p.m. I know you can’t wait to go and try it for yourself now.
The restaurant opened in Anchorage on March 7 and the response it received was overwhelmingly good. This drive-thru is located on Huffman road and is said to be quite busy.
The restaurant started its service around 10 a.m. and in the next hour, there was a long queue of people in their cars. It even included Treg Taylor, who is Alaska’s Attorney General.
When asked what he would be getting from Sonic, Taylor replied, “Oh, I don’t know, probably just a cheeseburger.” The woman sitting next to Taylor in the car added, “And the drinks”.
Taylor then added, “Drinks, big fan of the drinks.” We feel you, Taylor. When it’s Sonic you’re getting your food from, you can’t go without a drink in hand. The restaurant is predicted to be really successful in this new location.
