  1. Rinse the beans and soak them if you want.
  2. Take a Dutch oven or a soup pot and add water, salt and beans in it.
  3. Keep the flame on high and bring this mixture to a boil.
  4. Now add garlic, onion and bacon in this mixture and keep the flame on low.
  5. Stir this mixture occasionally on low flame and wait until it tenders for about 1 ½ hour. Check the water level and add more if you want.
  6. Wash your rice thoroughly, rinse it and then take a rice cooker or pot and fill it half with water and add the rice in it.
  7.  Bring the water to boil and simmer the gas when almost whole water has evaporated and the rice is soft and doubled its size.
