- Add water, salt, vinegar, and red food coloring or red pepper in a pan on medium heat.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cut the sausage into halves.
- Combine hot vinegar mixture in with the sausage.
- Let it for 2 days in the refrigerator before you serve.
