And today, I thought of sharing a recipe which has a perfect blend of rice and some other healthy ingredients together. It is a very healthy and tasty recipe, which I guess is very easy and convenient to make.

So the recipe is called Miami Rice and, this recipe will make your taste buds go on a crazy ride after you have a single bite of it. It is a perfect blend of the fried rice added with some extra healthy ingredients like beans and some greens.

Health note: The Miami rice is beneficial for your body as it contains beans that are known for their various nutritional elements present in them. They help in reducing blood pressure and in keeping your bones sturdy. The other ground herbs and spices used in it are also beneficial for your metabolism.

  1. The first thing that you need to do id to soak the beans overnight and wash, clean and rinse them very well.
  2. In a large pot add enough water so that the beans are fully covered with it. Add the smashed garlic into it along with some bay leaves.
  3. Bring this water to boil and after it boils, reduce the heat and keep it on low. Keep it aside once ready.
  4. Now take a Dutch pan and add some olive oil into it and keep it over a high flame. Add onions, peppers and garlic into it.
  5. Add the vegetables also and keep stirring until they are soft.
  6. Now add the rice and sauté it for 2 minutes until it turns light brown in colour.
  7. Pour the chicken broth in this rice mix and cooked black beans with some ground spices and herbs. Stir it once and bring it to a boil.
  8. Cook it until the water is absorbed fully and keep a lid on the pot for better cooking of rice.
  9. Check the rice and beans with the help of a fork and serve with fresh lime and cilantro.
