Maker’s Mark Varieties

Maker's Mark prices

Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whiskey is present in 4 different varieties. Those 4 varieties are Maker’s Mark Whiskey, Cask Strength, Maker’s Mark 46, and Maker’s Mark Private Select. So let’s talk a little more about these four varieties.

1) Maker’s Mark

Maker’s Mark® is made with soft red winter wheat, instead of the usual rye, for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon that’s easy to drink. To ensure consistency, we rotate every barrel by hand and age our bourbon to taste, not time. Each and every bottle of Maker’s® is still hand-dipped in our signature red wax at our distillery in Loretto, Ky., just like Bill, Sr. would have wanted.

2) Maker’s Mark Private Select

Private Select is created by adding 10 custom wood finishing staves to each barrel. It’s then aged in our limestone cellar to extract a unique, flavorful taste profile. Participants in this special barrel program get their say in the selection of these wooden staves. The finishing staves can be any combination of five flavor profiles chosen especially for this program. With 1,001 possible stave combinations, each expression of Private Select has a customized finish and taste profile that is unique, yet undeniably Maker’s

3) Maker’s Mark Cask Strength

This is Maker’s Mark Bourbon in its purest form. Bottled at barrel proof and non-chill filtered, Maker’s Mark Cask Strength ranges from 108 to 114 proof depending on the barrels. This drink is smooth, this bourbon retains the signature, front-of-the-palate flavors of Maker’s Mark while amping up the notes of oak, caramel, vanilla, and spice.

4) Maker’s Mark 46

The bourbon is made with wood-stave-finishing process starts with fully matured Maker’s Mark® at cask strength. We then insert 10 seared virgin French oak staves into the barrel and finish it for nine weeks in our limestone cellar. The result is Maker’s Mark 46: bolder and more complex.
