The sauce that I am about to make today is one of the best American side dishes that I have ever tried. This sauce is called Hummus and is quite popular in the region. Enjoy this creamy, smooth and delicious sauce with your favorite food and have a blast of flavors in your mouth. This sauce is easy to make and includes a very minimal amount of ingredients. 

You will find this sauce in many of the shops having a reasonable price, but here is my version of this sauce that you can make at home and see the difference. This sauce includes chickpea and tahini as a prime ingredient and many other ground spices and herbs that make it perfectly balanced. This homemade sauce is really healthy and can make your boring food an amazing one.

Ingredients for Hummus Sauce

Tahini ⅓ cup
Cold Water 2-4 tsp.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil2 tsp.
Ground Cumin ½ tsp.
Sea Salt ¾ tsp.
Garlic 2 cloves 
Lemon Juice 3 tsp.
Chickpeas 15 Ounces 
Parsley To garnish
Paprika To garnish
Pine Nuts To garnish

  1. In your food processor, add tahini, cold water, olive oil, cumin, garlic and lemon juice. Mix it well and form a smooth mix.
  2. Now add the chickpeas and whisk it until the whole mixture is fine and smooth. You can add more water if the sauce is too thick.
  3. Check the consistency and taste it. Add more salt and cumin or lemon juice if needed. 
  4. Garnish with some parsley, paprika and pine nuts and serve immediately. 

And it’s done! Your hummus recipe with tahini is ready and now can be served with any food of your’s you want. You can store it for up to 3 days in a refrigerated area.
