With inflation, prices of food are guaranteed to spike or increase. Fast-food chains and their restaurants are guaranteed to raise their prices as well. But this depends on the conditions and the location of the restaurants.
The menu prices at various restaurants keep fluctuating. This is because of the spike in prices of ingredients, the differing wages, etc. Every factor has an equal part to play in it. This Chick-fil-A restaurant’s food prices suffered the same fate.
It came to be known via a Reddit post that a Chick-fil-A restaurant served food whose cost was in double digits. Now, the post was in the form of a question; “how much other users pay for a Chick-Fil-A meal in their area?”
The post was accompanied by an image of a restaurant that turned out to be of a Chick-fil-A menu, with the restaurant based in New York. The menu had its items listed under expensive prices.
The Chick-n-Strips meal was priced for $13.99, the Cool Wrap meal for $17.65, etc. The highest price from the list of items was that of a Grilled Chicken Club Meal, which was priced at $18.19.
This is making your wallet scream, isn’t it? One user went on to say, “$17.65 for a cool wrap combo? Call the police.” Another one said, “Where are these prices at? Airport? Disney resort park? King’s Dominion?”
People thought that the Redditor was ordering via the DoorDash app and that the prices included the delivery fee, but that wasn’t the case at all. The Redditor reported that the Chick-fil-A restaurant in New York’s original prices was marginally cheaper than the DoorDash service.
As of now, the Chick-fil-A restaurant’s prices in New York City remain the same and aren’t expected to lower down any time soon. Stay strong, NYC residents!
