What Ingredients Will You Need To Make Chocolate-Covered Cherry Shots?

  • Grenadine – Grenadine is where the base flavor that mimics cherry comes from. To make two shots, you will need a single ounce of grenadine.
  • Kahlua – Yes, this is the secret ingredient! These shots don’t have any chocolate, but they have coffee liqueur! This creates a chocolate-like flavor, which fits perfectly for the shot. You will need an ounce of the same for two shots.
  • Baileys Irish Cream – Lastly, to balance off the flavor of the Kahlua, you will need an ounce of Baileys Irish Cream.

Steps To Make Chocolate-Covered Cherry Shots

1. Make The Shot

There is nothing much to do when it comes to making this shot. That is precisely why the first step itself is to make the shot! Firstly, get all your ingredients and equipment ready.

Then, pour 0.5 oz of grenadine into each shot glass. Place the cocktail spoon in the glass with the lower side of the spoon bowl on top, touching the side of the glass. Pour 0.5 oz of Kahlua over the grenadine in both glasses.

Then, place the cocktail spoon over the Kahlua, as we did for the grenadine. Pour 0.5 oz of Baileys Irish Cream over the Kahlua. That is it! Your shot is ready to be enjoyed responsibly!

How Will The Chocolate-Covered Cherry Shot Look And Taste Like?

The chocolate-covered cherry shot does look appealing, to start with. The layers created by the grenadine and the two types of liqueurs make it look extremely holiday themed. If you don’t go for layers and instead do a blended shot, it still looks incredible.

Coming to the flavor of this beverage, all three flavors are well-balanced. The sweet and sour flavor of grenadine and the slightly bitter and malty Kahlua taste really good. Finally, Bailey’s Irish Cream adds a creamy aftertaste and a really smooth mouthfeel in the end. All in all, this shot tastes exactly what it is named after!
