Once you make the sugared strawberries, you need to refrigerate them for about 2 hours. This will help sweeten them to the core. For Sugared Strawberries

  • Strawberries – Rinse, drain and slice your strawberries to make this sweet and a little tangy dessert. 
  • Granulated Sugar – Mix the strawberries with granulated sugar so that they become sweet through and through. 

For Whipped Cream

  • Heavy Cream – Use heavy cream to make the whipped cream.
  • Powdered Sugar and Vanilla – Add sugar to make the cream taste sweet and vanilla to make the cream smell sweet. 

For Shortcake Biscuits

  • All-Purpose Flour – The flour is the parent ingredient of the biscuits. 
  • Sugar – Add a little sugar to make the biscuits sweet. 
  • Baking Powder – Baking powder helps the biscuit rise. 
  • Salt – A pinch of salt balances the flavors.
  • Butter – Butter makes the biscuits rich.
  • Cream and Buttermilk – Cream and buttermilk make the biscuits taste smooth. They also make it moist and rich.

Steps To Make The Cheesecake Factory Strawberry Shortcake

1. Sugar? Yes, Please!

Let’s sugar some strawberries. In a mixing bowl, add the sliced strawberries and pour the sugar over them. Using a spoon, mix the sugar with the strawberries. When the sugar is somewhat dissolved, place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 2 hours. Meanwhile, you get all the other prep done.

2. Soft Peaks

Then, take a stainless steel bowl and add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. You have all you need to make the whipped cream in the bowl. Whisk them until the cream has soft peaks. Set the bowl aside. If you feel it’s tough to whisk it with your hand, you can also use a hand mixer. 

3. Some Shortcake Biscuits

Now, take a 6-quart stainless steel bowl and add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix these using a whisk. Then, add butter and whisk the mixture until it is crumbly. Then, pour the buttermilk and cream into the bowl and mix them for half a minute. We don’t want to overmix them. 

After that, lightly dust a surface with flour and take the mixture out on it. Knead it using your hands to make the biscuit dough. Again, don’t overdo the kneading. Roll out the dough to a thickness of ½ inch and cut circles 4-inch in diameter. 

Place the dough circles in a non-stick baking pan but make sure that you place them apart. They are going to triple their size when baked. You don’t want them to merge into one another. Place the baking tray into a preheated oven and bake them for 15 minutes at about 375℉.

4. Now, For The Assembly

When the biscuits are baked, take them out and slice them horizontally. Now, take the bottom half of the biscuit, place it in a serving bowl, and place a spoon of sugared strawberries over it. Then, place two scoops of vanilla ice cream on the strawberries before placing the top half over it.

Spoon some more sugared strawberries at the top half of the biscuits, and lastly, add a dollop of strawberry shortcake. This is a sight to behold. Also, don’t worry if a few of the strawberries fell into the bowl. It’s not a big deal, and it happens all the time. Your delicious strawberry shortcake is ready!
