Once you have cooked the ingredients individually, assemble the dish and place it in the broiler. When you take out the pan, you have a flavorful chicken with melted cheese and vegetables. What Equipment Will You Need To Make The Cheesecake Factory Chicken Madeira?

  • Large Heavy Oven-Safe Pan – This recipe may be made in parts. But all those parts come together in a large, heavy pan. Make sure it is oven-safe as well, so you don’t have to transfer everything into another dish.
  • Oven – Technically, we need the broiler to broil the chicken in the end.
  • Large Plate – The large plate is the temporary spot for your cooked mushrooms and cooked chicken. Let them rest on the plate until you are using the pan to make the sauce.
  • Plastic Wrap – You’ll need to plastic wrap your chicken before you pound it.
  • Paper Towels – Use paper towels to clean the pan after every use. I prefer alternating between wet and dry paper towels.
  • Meat Mallet – The pounding we talked about, do that with the help of a meat mallet.
  • Knife, Tongs, and Spatula – Use the knife for slicing, tongs for turning, and the spatula for stirring stuff.

What Ingredients Will You Need To Make The Cheesecake Factory Chicken Madeira?

  • Chicken Breasts – We’d need about a pound of chicken breasts. So, that’ll be about 2 large chicken breasts, cut lengthwise and pounded with a mallet.
  • Asparagus – Keep the asparagus balanced beforehand. If you don’t know how just take a lot of water and add some salt to it. Then, add the asparagus to it and boil it for 2-3 minutes. Then, strain and set aside.
  • Unsalted Butter and Olive Oil – For this recipe, you need to cook everything in a mix of butter and olive oil. This makes the dish extra delicious.
  • Button Mushrooms – Slice and cook the button mushrooms to add a soft texture and earthy taste to the chicken.
  • Yellow Onion and Garlic – The onion and garlic go into the mushrooms to add a strong aroma and flavor to the mushrooms.
  • Fresh Parsley – Add the parsley to the mushrooms as well to add a herby flavor to them. Also, save some to garnish the chicken in the end.
  • Madeira Wine – The Madeira wine is an amber-colored sweet wine that adds a bittersweet flavor and depth to the sauce. If you don’t want to use Madeira sauce, you can use Sherry wine or a sweet white wine of your choice.
  • Low Sodium Beef Stock – This, too, adds flavor to the sauce. You can use either beef stock or beef broth for the sauce.
  • Heavy Cream – The heavy cream makes the sauce creamy. If you don’t want to use heavy cream, just use regular cream.
  • Mozzarella Cheese – Top the chicken with some shredded mozzarella before you broil it. So, when you take out the pan, you’ll have a creamy and cheese chicken to yourself.
  • Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper – Seasoning is important in every part of the recipe. Better keep those salt and pepper shakers near.

Steps To Make The Cheesecake Factory Chicken Madeira

1. Cute As A Button… Mushroom

First, let’s cook the button mushrooms and get them over it. Take a large pan and melt 2 tablespoons of butter in it. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to it and then add the mushrooms to the pan. Cook the mushrooms for about 5 minutes until they become soft.

Add the onions to the pan and cook them along with the mushrooms for about 2-3 minutes. Then, add garlic, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and parsley to the pan. This will give your mushrooms flavor and aroma. Saute them for a minute or two and transfer this mixture to a plate. Now, use a paper towel and make the pan squeaky clean.

2. The Mighty Mallet

Now, take the chicken breasts and slice them half but lengthwise. Then, place the chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound them with a meat mallet (also known as a meat tenderizer). Pound the chicken until it is about ¼ inch thin (and it looks like it’s been through a lot). Season this chicken breast with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper to add flavor.

3. Until Time Do Us Golden

Then, take the cleaned pan and melt a tablespoon of butter in it. Add a tablespoon of oil as well and let the butter foam for a little while. Add the chicken breast to the pan and cook it from both sides for 3-4 minutes each until golden brown. When it is cooked, transfer it to the plate with the mushrooms (saves dishes).

4. Saucy With A Chance Of Madeira In It

In the same pan, pour the Madeira wine and bring it to a boil. When it has reduced to almost half its volume, add the beef stock and boil it for about 10 minutes until only ¼ that of the original volume remains. This is the key to a thick and flavorful sauce.

After that, add the heavy cream to the pan and simmer it for 2-3 minutes until it thickens. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper into the pan to add flavor and stir.

5. The Return To The Pan

Then, return the cooked chicken to the pan and move it around, so it gets covered with the sauce. Top it with the cooked mushrooms, blanched asparagus, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Now, place the pan in the oven broiler and broil it for 2-3 minutes until the cheese has completely melted.

Lastly, take the pan out and garnish the chicken with some parsley. Your creamy and cheesy Chicken Madeira is ready.
