Carrot Rice Recipe
- Take a pan and add some ghee to it. Or you can also use oil if you want.
- Keep it on medium-high flame and add mustard seeds, jeera and curry leaves and saute them slightly. Add cashew nuts and let them fry too until they turn golden brown.
- And once the nuts are golden brown, add the chopped onions and green chili. Cook them until translucent.
- Now, add the carrot and saute it for one more minute. Cook them until their color changes.
- After the carrots are cooked enough, add the turmeric powder and add salt to taste/ stir it.
- After the turmeric has cooked a little bit, add the cooked rice and mix it without breaking the rice grains. After adding the rice and wait until the rice gets coated with the turmeric, cook it a little more after adding the rice and turns a little yellowish.
Garnish with some fresh cilantro leaves and serve it hot. It tastes delicious when served with raita. Serve it to your family and change the tradition of boring food that they usually have.
