  1. Take a baking dish and grease it with butter. Preheat the oven to 3500F.
  2. Mix potatoes, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl and toss them until fully coated.
  3. Now, arrange the potatoes slices at the bottom of the baking dish. Top it with shredded cheese. Also, add cream on it as well.
  4. Repeat the similar layers until the baking dish is completely filled. Top it with cream and cheese as well.
  5. Now, place the dish in the oven and bake it in the oven for 1 hour. After that, check the potatoes if they are soft and cooked.
  6. After it’s done, keep the dish aside and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with some thyme and serve.
