Olive oil1 tsp
Chopped onion1 cup
Minced garlic4 cloves
Red wine3/8 cups
White sugar1 tbsp
Chopped fresh basil1 tbsp
Crushed red pepper flakes1 tsp
Tomato paste2 tbsp
Lemon juice1 tbsp
Italian seasoning½ tsp
Ground black pepper¼ tsp
Peeled and diced tomatoes2 (14.5 ounce) cans
Chopped fresh parsley2 tbsp

Arrabbiata Sauce recipe
  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan and add onion and garlic in the oil and heat them for 5 minutes
  2. Stir vigorously in wine, sugar, basil, red pepper, tomato paste, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and tomatoes; bring to a boil.
  3. Remove the mixture for heat and keep it aside for few minutes.
  4. Stir in parsley.
  5. Add over pasta.
